Reframing the question
Example: 1984 Reagan-Mondale debate the age issue
Ronald Reagan fields a hostile question respectfully, and then re-frames it, from age being a disadvantage to him, to age being one of his advantages over Mondale. Note how the impact was magnified by how Ronald Reagan, the consumate actor, delivered the punchline deadpan.
